Karin was born on 17th May 1991 from the initiative of the Moro brothers, Giacomo and Maurizio, who after a decade of experience as commercial agents in the safety world, thanks to the help of Bruno Ottone, owner of a small tailoring workshop, decided to start their own business.
In the early nineties the first basic structure of the company was set up, with sales offices and warehouse in Pero, in the province of Milan, and the tailoring workshop near Novara.
The company vision was soon clear:
Specialise in the production of technical workwear and become a landmark for the industry, having quality and innovation as fundamental principles.
After fifteen years of strong development, an important investment was made in 2004 with the opening of the first foreign production unit in Romania.
A few years later, in 2009, the growing company needed more space, so it moved its headquarters to Cuggiono (MI) where it also developed the central warehouse and a smaller warehouse dedicated to raw materials with a modern cutting room.
In 2012, with a view to providing customers with an increasingly complete range of PPE and pursuing the path of quality, Karin decided to invest in the production of safety shoes entirely Made in Italy by acquiring a production facility in central Italy.
Years pass and thanks to the decision to start exporting right from the beginning, the company acquired more and more shares of the international market, starting from European countries and arriving today to have strong commercial relationships with countries in Africa, Middle East and Asia.
The desire to become more and more of an international industrial reality doesn’t stop. 2018 brings another important novelty within the project: the second foreign production unit is opened in Albania.
The ability to look ahead is fundamental in a successful company, and so in recent years a window into the future has been opened with the arrival in the company of the second generation of the Moro family. The sons
Jacopo and Luca, with the specific skills that they acquired during their respective studies, have taken to the field to continue the company’s mission with a more technological, sustainable and detail-oriented approach.
